Sam Oliphant is a trusted executive advisor with proven expertise and experience in building and implementing strategic communications, issues management, engagement, and media relations plans. He has supported public and private sector clients across a wide range of industries, including CN Railway, Teck, the Joint Venture partnership between the Canada Lands Company and the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, Brightside Community Homes Foundation, the Capital Regional District, Western Forest Products, the University of British Columbia, and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. An excellent writer, Sam produces compelling communications and consultation materials and is part of Kirk & Co.’s leadership in digital communications.

Prior to his time at Kirk & Co., Sam was Press Secretary in the Office of the Premier of British Columbia between July 2013 and February 2016. In that role, Sam provided daily communications advice to B.C.’s Premier on public policy issues and breaking news stories.

Born and raised in Calgary, Sam moved to B.C. in 2004 for university and is proud to call Vancouver home. He has a Master of Arts (Political Studies) from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Political Science from Simon Fraser University.
