Mike McDonald is a partner and Chief Strategy Officer at Kirk & Co. His career has revolved around building strong relationships, analyzing data, crafting compelling narratives, and executing effective strategies. He has a deep understanding of British Columbia’s economic, political, social, and cultural landscape.

Mike served as Chief of Staff to the Premier of British Columbia and has run winning province-wide election campaigns. He was recognized as one of British Columbia’s 500 most influential business leaders in 2025 by Business in Vancouver, and was previously recognized as one of the “Power 50” by Vancouver Magazine.

Mike co-hosts Hotel Pacifico, a leading public affairs podcast in British Columbia which promotes civil discussion of issues and policy. He has provided media commentary for Global TV and CKNW radio, and has contributed op-eds to the Globe & Mail, the Vancouver Sun, and other publications.
