Melissa is an award-winning senior advisor and highly respected corporate affairs professional. With over 15 years of experience, she is known for her strategic thinking and collaborative approach to solving complex challenges. Melissa understands how to communicate effectively with any audience, no matter how technical the subject may be.
Prior to moving to British Columbia, Melissa lived and worked in northern Ontario, and held senior roles including Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Greater Sudbury, and press secretary and issues manager to a number of provincial politicians. She has worked on many high-profile projects including highways, transit and other forms of infrastructure. Originally from Greater Sudbury, she is very familiar with the importance of mining and natural resource projects to the local and national economy.
Melissa was part of a team that won two Toronto Canadian Public Relations Society ACE Awards: PR Campaign of the Year and Community Relations Campaign of the Year.
Melissa lives in Burnaby and has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Guelph and a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College.
